The strategic project "Shock plan against poverty" aims to provide a response to the impoverishment of many families residing in the province of Barcelona through the coverage of basic needs (food, housing and supplies.), ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families have access to the basic services, welfare and minimum conditions for processes of social inclusion processes. The strategic project "Shock plan against poverty" aims to provide a response to the impoverishment of many families residing in the province of Barcelona through the coverage of basic needs (food, housing and supplies.), ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families have access to the basic services, welfare and minimum conditions for processes of social inclusion processes. The project comprises the following three projects. The Audit and Intervention Programme for households in fuel poverty aims to improve the energy efficiency in households living in fuel poverty, reduce the cost of basic supplies and improve the quality of life for residents. The Housing Debt Intermediation Service (SIDH) offers free information, advice and intermediation with financial institutions and large tenants, aimed at individuals or families who are at risk of losing their home because of difficulties in paying the mortgage debt or rent. The Social Impact Purse Card consists of a debit card that the local Social Services give to people in socially vulnerable situations so that they can buy food and other basic necessities.
