This September will see the first meetings of the committee tasked with drafting the operational regulations for the Executive Bureau, a new regulatory framework that will institutionalize the position of a Vice-President per continent within the organization.
The measure responds to a direct proposal by the President of ORU Fogar, Rachid el Abdi, which was previously debated at the Bureau meeting held in Argeș (Romania), and was subsequently approved for definitive implementation at the recent Bureau meeting in Azuay (Ecuador).
With this reform, the vice-presidents will assume direct responsibility for the dynamics of ORU Fogar in each continent, focusing their efforts on the active promotion of the organization in their respective territories.
To ensure constant monitoring, each Bureau meeting will feature a specific report on the situation of each continent, applying the same evaluation and control system already used by the network's working groups. Furthermore, to reinforce support for the General Secretariat, each continent will have a specialized technician who will work in close coordination with the corresponding vice-president.
This operational structure, which the committee must integrate into the framework of ORU Fogar's Statutes, will be applied starting from the next Executive Bureau elections to be held at the 2027 annual assembly.
