AEBR promotes a barrier-free Europe with the new b-solutions 3.0 call

Living or working in a border area often brings administrative complications that do not exist within countries. To address this, the Association of European Border Regions, AEBR, has launched a new phase of the b-solutions initiative. This project, managed directly by AEBR under the impetus of the European Commission, seeks to identify and resolve in a definitive way the legal and bureaucratic problems that hinder daily life within the territorial boundaries of the Union.

The main mission of AEBR in this call is to find real cases where the lack of coherence between the laws of different countries, the duplication of procedures or the existence of regulations that do not take into account the reality of borders are a brake for cooperation. Acting as contracting and managing authority, AEBR positions itself as the necessary bridge between local institutions and legal solutions that allow for easier coexistence in land and maritime border regions.

Public bodies of local, regional or national character, as well as entities specifically dedicated to cross-border cooperation, have the opportunity to present their cases until June 20, 2026. Through this process, AEBR not only seeks to resolve specific conflicts, but also to generate shared knowledge that sensitizes European legislators to the importance of creating more flexible rules tailored to areas of contact between countries.

Through b-solutions 3.0, AEBR reinforces its commitment to remove structural obstacles that impede economic and social growth at borders. All the necessary information and details for participation are available on the official project portal, where AEBR coordinates efforts to make European integration a tangible reality for all citizens living in these strategic regions.
