In October 2022, the IV Summit of Regions "Zero Hunger" will be held in Peru.
In order to build a future marked by peace, equality and global food security, and to promote the development of the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 set by the United Nations, the IV Summit of Regions on Food Security "Zero Hunger" will be held on November 22 and 23, 2022 in the Huancavelica region (Peru). The event will be organized by ORU Fogar, by the Mancomunidad of the Andes and the Regional Council of Huancavelica, with the support of the Secretary of Decentralization of the Government of Peru.
We intensify bilateral relations between members
During the celebration of the “Workshop of the future ORU Fogar 2030”, held in different sessions, from July to October 2021, various participants demanded that ORU Fogar promote greater horizontal activity.

The IX World Water Forum, held in Dakar (Senegal) from March 21 to 26, noted the need for bilateral and multilateral cooperation to attend water policies at the subnational and regional level.

Supporting the Ukrainian population on the field
Very much active in Eastern Europe, ALDA has been deeply shaken from the conflict in Ukraine and is currently mobilising all its resources in order to provide help and support to Ukrainian people. Indeed, the links uniting ALDA and Ukraine are many and extremely strong: several ALDA members and partners are Ukrainians, along with a part of its staff working in the Local Democracy Agencies in Mariupol and Dnipro. Moreover, colleagues in Chisinau (Moldova), where ALDA has one of its 6 offices, are also entirely impacted by the situation. As part of the network of ALDA, Oru Fogar wishes to share insights from the Association as well as suggestions of simple and concrete ways every citizen can implement to help the Ukrainian population in such a terrible moment.
